Faith-integrated care

Christian Counseling in Minneapolis & St. Paul (Online)

Christian counseling for adults in Minneapolis, St. Paul, and the surrounding metro — clinically grounded, faith-welcoming, never faith-imposing.

Many Twin Cities Christians end up choosing between two incomplete options: a therapist who treats faith as a symptom, or a counselor whose faith is strong but whose clinical training is thin. This practice is a third option. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor using evidence-based treatment as the foundation, and I welcome your faith into the room to whatever degree you want it there.

What faith integration actually looks like

  • You decide, in the first session, how present faith should be — and you can change that later
  • Scripture and prayer are used only when you invite them
  • Clinical methods stay clinical: CBT, ACT, exposure, and trauma-informed work do the therapeutic lifting
  • Spiritual doubt, deconstruction, and church hurt are safe topics, not problems to correct
  • No denominational agenda and no pressure toward a particular conclusion

What this is not

This is not pastoral counseling, discipleship, or spiritual direction, and it is not a replacement for your church community. It is licensed mental health treatment provided by a clinician who takes your faith seriously. If what you are looking for is primarily spiritual formation, a pastor is the better fit — and I will say so.

Common reasons Twin Cities Christians reach out

Anxiety that prayer alone has not resolved. Guilt about needing help at all. Marriage strain inside a faith community where the appearance of stability matters. Grief that has shaken what you believed about God. Questions you cannot ask in small group without becoming next week's prayer request.

Getting started

Sessions are held by secure video anywhere in Minnesota, so a client in Uptown, Highland Park, or Maple Grove books the same way. Most major insurance plans are accepted, and private pay is available for anyone who prefers to keep this work off an insurance record.
