Christian Reflection Guide for Difficult Seasons
This guide is offered for clients who want a place where faith and therapy meet. It is not a replacement for clinical care — it is a companion for the quiet moments around it.

Begin with honesty
The Psalms model unfiltered prayer. Try writing your own — anger, fear, fatigue, hope, all of it — without editing for piety. God can handle the unedited draft.
Sit with one verse for a week
Pick a single verse that meets the season you are in. Read it slowly each morning. Notice what shifts by Friday.
Lament is a faithful posture
Lament names the hard thing without pretending it is fine. It is one of the most honest forms of prayer and the Bible is full of it.
Practice receiving
High-capacity people often struggle to receive. Try a short prayer: 'I am the one being loved here.' Sit with it for two minutes. Notice what comes up.
Find people who will be steady with you
Faith was never meant to be a solo project. A small handful of trusted people — pastor, friend, therapist, mentor — is enough.
